Ok...So not a lot has happened since my last post but hey I will at least explain a little bit.
So Jim had kind of a milestone birthday on January 14th. It was his last birthday in his 20's, the big 29! My gosh, I can't believe that he is that old because that means that in 6 months I will be that old. CRAZY!
Update on Chandler....He is doing pretty well. We did have a minor setback which included a small blood clot in his lower heart but with having a shot every 12 hours he is doing much better. He is starting to grow his "fuzzy" hair back. I will try and take a picture but Chan is not one of those kids that love the camera.
Christmas was great. Jim and I took from Christmas Eve to after New Years off of work. It was lovely. We did a whole lot of nothing. We were able to sleep in, stay up late and do whatever we wanted. It was 12 days of wonderful and much needed time spent with Jim. Thank you to work for not calling me.
Speaking of work. Work has been very eventful. Some changes have happened in the Assistant Manager job and I have decided to embrace it and go for it head first. I am even meeting with a client tomorrow to take an application for a $2.5 million mortgage. Yes we are still lending money! A few unexpected things have happened in the world of the Provo Branch and none of which I will talk about and all of which I will try and forget. Work, work, work I think that I need another vacation.
That is why I have wonderful parents, they see the "needs" of their kids. On Christmas morning, Mom and Dad gave us clues as to what the kids were getting. Some of the clues included; Dirt and plenty of it, Family fun, No cactus here. We were all guessing about what we thought it was and most of us thought that it had something to do with the new property that they had just purchased. Well I finally guessed and screamed at the top of my lungs "We are going to Spring Training in Florida!" Needless to say we are all very excited to go. The people who went last year know how much fun we had. We are going to be in Orlando from March 18-24. It can't get any better that sunshine and baseball!
The older I get the more I think about how lucky I am in my life. We all need to have pity parties every now and then but for the most part we all have pretty great lives. "This too shall pass" has been a phrase that I have said a lot throughout the last 6 or 7 months. And now for a little cheesiness....."Scatter Sunshine." One of my favorite hymns and something that is going to become a motto for me and Jim. Love you all!
