Super Bowl
I have to say that I am not a big fan of football. There are too many rules, too many players and too much going on at one time. I get so confused! I know that makes me sound like a blond but thats ok. I don't even know how much I liked the commercials this year. I really liked the Pepsi Max one, the one with everyone getting hurt and thrown up against things. AWESOME!

Ok...So not a lot has happened since my last post but hey I will at least explain a little bit.
So Jim had kind of a milestone birthday on January 14th. It was his last birthday in his 20's, the big 29! My gosh, I can't believe that he is that old because that means that in 6 months I will be that old. CRAZY!
Update on Chandler....He is doing pretty well. We did have a minor setback which included a small blood clot in his lower heart but with having a shot every 12 hours he is doing much better. He is starting to grow his "fuzzy" hair back. I will try and take a picture but Chan is not one of those kids that love the camera.
Christmas was great. Jim and I took from Christmas Eve to after New Years off of work. It was lovely. We did a whole lot of nothing. We were able to sleep in, stay up late and do whatever we wanted. It was 12 days of wonderful and much needed time spent with Jim. Thank you to work for not calling me.
Speaking of work. Work has been very eventful. Some changes have happened in the Assistant Manager job and I have decided to embrace it and go for it head first. I am even meeting with a client tomorrow to take an application for a $2.5 million mortgage. Yes we are still lending money! A few unexpected things have happened in the world of the Provo Branch and none of which I will talk about and all of which I will try and forget. Work, work, work I think that I need another vacation.
That is why I have wonderful parents, they see the "needs" of their kids. On Christmas morning, Mom and Dad gave us clues as to what the kids were getting. Some of the clues included; Dirt and plenty of it, Family fun, No cactus here. We were all guessing about what we thought it was and most of us thought that it had something to do with the new property that they had just purchased. Well I finally guessed and screamed at the top of my lungs "We are going to Spring Training in Florida!" Needless to say we are all very excited to go. The people who went last year know how much fun we had. We are going to be in Orlando from March 18-24. It can't get any better that sunshine and baseball!
The older I get the more I think about how lucky I am in my life. We all need to have pity parties every now and then but for the most part we all have pretty great lives. "This too shall pass" has been a phrase that I have said a lot throughout the last 6 or 7 months. And now for a little cheesiness....."Scatter Sunshine." One of my favorite hymns and something that is going to become a motto for me and Jim. Love you all!

Little of this, Little of that...
Gingerbread Men
Sunday and we baked and then decorated gingerbread men. We had such a great time. Syd, at one point decided to practically dump the whole can of sprinkles on one of the poor stars.

Pumpkin Carving!!

On Sunday night, Syd and Chad came over and we carved pumpkins. It is messing, time consuming and well worth it. We had such a good time. After that we wanted to download the pictures from Syd's camera to mine but it wouldn't work so we just played on the Photo Booth for awhile. All I can say is that we were laughing so hard that we were "wheezing!"

More Chan Update
Ok, We got some REALLY great news today. They had to do another spinal tap and ct scan yesterday. They said that they can not find one cancer cell in all of Chandler's body!! AMAZING! I filled with so much joy right now. They said that this isn't something that was expected but that it is also not unlikely. The doc said that the chemo doesn't normally work this quickly. We all know why this worked so fast; prayer, fasting, priesthood blessings. This is one of those times that all you can do is drop to your knees and thank our Heavenly Father for all of the blessings in our lives. Thank you for all of the prayers and love! Chan still has to finish 2 more rounds of chemo because the cancer cells can be microscopic but at the same time, such a huge sadness has been lifted from our family. He is feeling pretty sick right now, but it is worth the end result.

New Update on Chandler
Things are going better than we could have ever thought. He is a little tired, a little moody, a little sore and a little sick. All of that being said he is still doing very well. He lost his first "clump" of hair last week. I thought that he would be a little more upset about it, but it just happened to be the day that Bret Ratliff from the New York Jets and U of U came to visit him at football practice. Somehow, Brett found out about Chandler and when U of U played Oregon last week he came to visit Chandler and also gave him a New York Jets football, signed by the whole team. Even Brett Favre! He was thrilled. They even did another news shot on Fox 13. They have been very good to him! Ryan, my brother, also got a call saying that someone wanted to open an account for Chandler to help with the medical expenses. Right now all I have to say is "People are amazing!" Thursday is when Chandler goes back into the hospital for his 3rd chemo treatment. In the beginning they were hoping to only have to do 5 treatments so that means that we are half way there. AMAZING! They said theselast treatments are going to be the worst on him so I will for sure keep everyone posted. Thank you for all of the love and prayers!
